What is with the turkeys?

Early last November Kim (the primitive paintbrush) and I were junkin in Illinois. We were finding vintage turkeys at all the antique stores we stopped in. I debated on purchasing any more, because all the ones I did have in inventory had sold out. However, it was early November and I was thinking I should pick up a few for Thanksgiving.

So I started picking up a turkey here and there. At some point Kim, and I, realized I had bought several. But, once the turkey buying began…there was no stopping it ;0

Kim kept saying: stop buying turkeys…don’t you have enough turkeys…how many turkeys do you need …and I just kept buying all the turkeys (Yes, it quickly escalated from a few to every one I saw!).

We were at our last stop, and behind the check-out counter was a display that had several turkeys. Kim and I were at the counter, where I was buying two items, and she had to step out of the store to answer a phone call. Before she left she told me to not buy any of the turkeys. As soon as she left I told them I want all the turkeys ;0

I came out of the store with a big box, and Kim was quickly asking what I had purchased. ALL THE TURKEYS!! That’s what I bought. And guess what…every single turkey sold before Thanksgiving.

So, now I buy every single turkey, Tiffany (vintage cottages) is buying all of them too. We are going to create a turkey shortage! And I love to tag Kim every time I buy one.

So fun having a friend that you can have a great joke with. So Kim…turkey on girlfriend <3
